Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. As a child, she was inspired by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romantic ballads. Ana is an avid fan of Tangos. She also loves operas and any form theatrical performance. Her mother teaches her how to sing, but she started more intense singing lessons through Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. the singer was famous as a Mexican opera singer and tenor. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. When she was a student, as well as a young professional at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choirs. When she moved in the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she moved to Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. Ana is involved in a variety of local organizations, both as a teacher and performer, because of her love of music and art. Ana was a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge her love of Latin American traditional songs, to inspire a love, especially for the young generation to keep this tradition vibrant.
