Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major international breakthroughs into the Latin popular music scene. In 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. In Medellin the year of Medellin, the Sony label La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. It peaked at number eight at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna as well as him the year following. Mala Influencia, released in 2020 by Noriel and her Dopamina album that year. In 2021 he recorded the duet to TINI's smash track Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo comes from an musical family, as both his mother and elder brother are also musicians. According to Turizo, music was an integral element of his existence. In his childhood he was taught how to perform on the guitar, piano as well as the ukulele. His initial choice of career was to become a vet however, his brother Julian convinced him to study to sing with an instructor from a Cuban teacher.
